View Full Version : 06 Custom Swinger for Spec Enduro or SX :)

Looks gorgous..

90 degree air valve to fix clearance issues with shock piggy back and 8.75 x 2.75 so it gives the same amount of travel that a 06 SX trail would have (6.6" insted of 6")without going to a 9.0 e2e Light and Tight :) :) :)
:dizzy: :woot:
Tell me what you think.

02-10-2006, 07:03 PM

Shoulda got a Rocco, Why a platform?

02-10-2006, 09:48 PM
why rocco over this? what are the advantages of a unproven shock over one that has been made for over 3/4 years?

Dantes Inferno
02-10-2006, 09:49 PM
platform damping feels like poo.

02-10-2006, 09:56 PM
I see.. thx for that information

02-10-2006, 09:56 PM
just curious if the bottom out adjuster still works?ie. volume adjuster

02-10-2006, 10:02 PM
yes.. its fully working shock.

02-10-2006, 10:05 PM
just looks like it isn't there, i guess it's turned right in.

02-10-2006, 10:06 PM
How do you make such big threads for your bike?

p.s. valve look convienet.

02-10-2006, 10:15 PM
cuz i know how to play with ppls brains online :) very simple.

edit to big hitter. it now uses Pin spanner to rotate it not socket

02-11-2006, 02:07 AM
damn thats hot... hey what bike comes stock with a rocco anyways?

02-11-2006, 04:42 AM

Nice Drive-By over on MTBR. You drop a pic and few details. So I'll ask over here:

1) Who did the mod or did you order it like that? If you did it, where'd you get the parts?
2) With the extra 1/4" stroke, does the link still clear the seat-tube bridge at full compression? There's talk of fitting a similar sized DHX but you have to run the steep shuttle because of the longer stroke otherwise the link will hit. Can you use either shuttle if you want?
3) Does the spring retainer clear the link. Hard to see in the pic. Again, all the talk on MTBR is that you have to use an offset retainer (or longer shock eye) to get clearance.

Shoulda got a Rocco, Why a platform?

thats why he got a 4-way instead of a 6-way i assume. The 6-way feels like poo cuz of the extra adjustments have a bad effect on the feel of the shock

02-18-2006, 08:56 PM
ummm i cant say anything. so yeah its a nice pic eh

I  my 6-way, it feels like shit if you don't know what you're doing with the low and high-speed compression

02-22-2006, 08:06 AM
I agree.

02-22-2006, 06:59 PM
