Went back home to Singapore to see the family, and friends, some of which I havent seen in quite a while. Was a pretty sweet time. All photos shot on a Sony T9 (compact digi) which I got for xxmmasss

this is Ad and Mei. I've known them since they were 10... And they've always been best friends... and absolutely nuts

ok, you vancouverites stop whining about how much rain you get. you dont even know what a rainstorm looks like. tropical countries get these kinda clouds every single day for months during monsoon season (year end-year start)
http://www.dslang.com/t9insingapore/youdontknowrain.jpg

kids, dont ever backflip uphill, even for a picture. it's damn stupid and it hurts the ankles

they had these white bouys floating out in the bay with tons of huge spotlights shining on them, changing colour synchronized with the music. it was entertaining and impressive, but kinda made you go wtf?

I love singapore. I need to go back sometime. Two of my favourite places there were the wet market and Little India. I really don't think that I have been to any other places similar in the world. Oh, and another place I really thought was cool was the hawker stalls (I believe they are called that but I don't remember the exact name of the place they were at) they were like a bunch of stands with all these different types of foods being sold. I went at night and if I had a camera with me I would have gotten some amazing shots. At this place I also remember a lot of people walking around trying to sell us all these different things like knock off sunglasses or watches from inside their jackets. That place is just soo different from here and that might be why I love it and have had the desire to go traveling ever since I went there as well as Hong Kong and Malaysa all in one trip.

Your pictures are really nice too. I actually reconize some of the sights and I think I know the where abouts they are located. The back flip pictures are awsome but please tell me that you didn't go swimming because I remember the water being quite dirty and the beaches were closed because of that. But things do change. Lastly your comment about the rain clouds. I completly agree, if you haven't been to the tropics and experienced a rain storm then u don't know what rain is. Its crazy because one minute it is sunny then all of a sudden it is raining super hard for 20mins then it is sunny again and the humidity and constant above 30 temperature even when raining never ceased to amaze me. I can probly count the times I remember I've seeing it rain that hard here on one hand. I mean you are in the rain for 30 seconds and you are completly drenched.

Damn you slang. Looks like I gotta start saving for a nice trip to that area of the world. The bug is back and biting super hard.

Oh, how I love southeast asia! I never made it to signapore, but had a great time in Indo and Malaysia. I need to go back, I'm starting to forget all my bahasa Malay:( I love it when I'm walking around and people talk shit about me in Malay, they act really surprised when you answer them back...Looks like I really need to go to Signapore though!
