I got really bored today, so I decided to find out what would have happened if the slopestyle contests this year had been organized into a series like the World Cup with a series winner at the end. And so I found that the the top ten are...
1. Darren Berrecloth- 29 points
2. Cameron McCaul- 25 points
3. Aaron Chase- 23 points
4. Cameron Zinc- 22 points
5. Paul Basagoitia- 21 points
6. Thomas Vanderham- 18 points
7. Kyle Strait- 14 points
8. Jamie Goldman- 13 points
9. Timo Pritzel- 12 points
10. Carlo Diekman (tie)- 9 points
10. Geoff Gulevich (tie)- 9 points
What I did to get the scores was I took the results from the four major slopestyle contests this year (Adidas Slopestyle, Monster Park, Crankworx Slopestyle and the Red Bull District Ride) and gave points to the top ten riders, 10 for first place, 9 points for second etc. up to 10th place which got one point. I then added up the points and whoever had the most won. And yes, I know that I'm a total dork.

Thats cool, But the winner of any event should get more than a one point difference.
A Slopestyle Series. Yes, that would be cool. Slopestyle with an overall Champion. Do ya think the Claw would were a rainbow jersey?! haha

Nice idea, have a provincial series with finals at crankworx.

I don't think that it would be a very good idea. I like that all the different slopestyle comps. to have their own feel. It just wouldn't feel lame if they were actually part of a series in the way that you described. It would take the excitment out of the individual events. Plus it would turn freeriding even more into a sport based around competition, and that's just wrong. I think that slopestyle comps. should be more jam based and less based around specific runs and whatnot.

I meant in the sense that racing is on the decline and perhaps by creating slopestyle courses at a few provincial events it might boost numbers. would be more of an amateur thing, still have the big ones like monster park be completely seperate and then just have provincial slopestyle finals at crankworx. I agree with you about the competition thing.
mcCaul and gully killed it this year

That would be cool if they could have more amateur slopestyle contests. But that goes for dirt jumping and skatepark events as well.
Organize one in your area. Get a BBQ, some burgers, make a couple of posters... A loosely organized jam is ten times more fun for everyone.

I was actually thinking of doing that this summer. It would be so much fun.
