no., there are movies that are older.

Check out "Tread" for a nice reality check on what was being done "then". You'll see wall rides, manuals, pedal kicks, downhilling on hardtails with 2" forks and chainrings bigger than dinner plates, and more neon than anyone needs to ever see.

I searched those two, it appears that pulp traction is about as old as it gets (1995). tread came out in 1997. any other old freeride films I should look into? I'm basically trying to find all the oldest ones and so far I've got the likes of kranked 1, nsx 1, nwd 1.

The only stuff that might be older aren't in bike videos. They would be in Warren Miller movies.

The others would be in RAP, Real Action Pictures ski movies. Mind you this would have been when Trevor Peterson and Eric Pehota skied together.

nevermind. tread was released in 1994, pulp traction in 1995.

RAD was one of the, if not the, oldest BMX videos. It's really awesome.

I saw some movie way back in the day where somebody pulled a 360 on a hill in San Fransico. Very cool.

There were alot of movies out before the NWD series even started. Kranked had done 3, there must have been 3 nsx as well. Shift, which was my favorite movie in the day, and Menace to Society were out before NWD. Also there was the Hans NO WAY Rey video too.

I just watched pulp traction. this one is very old school, I think it's schley and tippie's first movie. haha and one of the sponsors for it is grip shift.

RAD! doesn't really count as a BMX video. It's an actual, full on movie.

I'm pretty sure there were BMX videos before RAD! since the scene would have had to be somewhat well established to generate enough interest to warrant an actual movie.

RAD! is the best movie ever made.
