I really don't know what there is up there in the way of an old ski lodge, but the ski hill itself was just north of the area that the cabins are in. I think I'm going to do some more exploring up there next summer, it's a pretty cool place.

the origional lodge burnt down but there are still 2 groups of cabins up there. If you go to www.clubtread.com (http://www.clubtread.com) there are about a billion threads on burke ,the ski hill, etc, etc

the cabins are privately owned, I think it takes about 2 hrs on foot, probably less

well there is definitley skiable terrain
the lines could be big
but its even bigger hikes...and its pretty selective
skis and boots add a ton of weight as well
im sure i wouldnt have made it up as quick
but it was amazing anyways

In his defence, he is from Nova Scotia. I dont think mountain biking over there has alot to do with mountains. I thought he might have done a little better though, he is in the military (Navy), 10 years younger than me, I was riding my aline and him on my xc bike, and he seemed to talk the talk. He is going home and hammering the treadmill for his next trip out in April so I give him an A for not giving up. On a side note, he drank all my water and took off home early with all my tools and spares. I went and rode the trail down to the Coquitlam river and then home by myself. I was praying for nothing to go wrong and dying of thirst by the time I got home.
