Anyone that rides in nanaimo and likes the trails on mt benson better get out and ride them. Just got back from a ride. The logging has started!!!!! Dont know what will be left behind to ride yet just going to have to wait and see. The upper road andf lower road are now gone. So it seems that all in the middle will be gone. Sad day for me and others. Our new trail the whisky shooter is in that area. Hope it will make it out alive. Rode it today maybe for the last time. Sure hope not. So for all of you that like to ride on mt benson you better get out and ride the trails you love cause the next time you go to they might be gone..............:crybaby:

I havent been up there I wanted to go this summer but I was really busy. How many trails do you think will survive?

dont know yet. none yet as of last weekend. going up sat to see what has been dont during the week

I went up there the other day and i didnt see anything logged yet but i didn't go up that far

i do lots of work for Weyerhauser in the summer, and i know one alot of the guys that work there, and apparently they are going to take everything from the top of celic, to the bottom road before the lowertrails and left first.... not sure about after that. i was up there 2 weeks ago and they had cut the new right of way and were clearing it and laying the dirt down...
