i just got adobe premeir
when i capture the vid how do i get it into a bunch of clips?
i select scene detect and that doesnt do anything, i remember i did that when i downloaded the try out version but cant figure put what i did.

thats what ive always done. I dont know of any other way to do it. (though im not quite an expert at premiere)

no i mean how do you get the clips you filmed to be divided into clips instead of having every clip all out together into one. and im not talking about when its on the time line

when your capturing it. just stop it when ever you want another clip. then name it. and capture more.
now sure what premiere you are using but this is how its done on premiere pro.

ok another question, i got the video done, i saved it as a quick time file but obviouslt is a huge file, how do i compress it/ choose how big it is when i save it?

go file then export timeline, then movie
you can play around with the compressors and stuff in there

k i kinda got that i exported it as mpeg4 but its still a 20mb+ vid and very low quality, what am i doing wrong?
