He had to have his papers in by 4:00pm Friday - if he didn't we may have seen the last of him.

Thank god. However, through his crazy antics he managed to further unite the mountain bike community so I guess we also kinda have to thank him. He tried to destroy mountain biking but he ended up being beneficial in the development of it :S

He is retiring to hit up the trails on his new Demo9. He just wanted to make sure the trails were in good shape.
