View Full Version : Whistler's sales
I went to whistler on the closing weekend but I didn't have time to buy some stuff.. I'm considering going up again next weekend... but I don't know if the bike stores will be opened nor if they'll have the same Sales they had in the thanksgiving weekend.... I thought they should have still thinks for sale because they have to get rid of the bike stuff for the winter...
Another concearn is as they were having all these sales, if I'll still find some protective gear and things like that....
Anyone knows or live in Whistler so can tell me??
I think youd be able to find better deals in and around Vancouver.

Whistler's stores were selling almost everything for 40% - 60% of the price... can I find something like that here??? I'm going to some stores tomorrow after riding so I can find out....

Most stores are still rolling out stuff cheap, Evo, Fanatyko, Katmandu should still have stuff, they need to make room for the winter gear eh...

hey xmag , ya dumbass , weren't you just up here ?
if you had called me like i said , you woulda had your new bike saturday morning , and you woulda had the rest of the weekend to ride and shop around for shit you didn't know you needed yet . . . .
and that's the thing about cruising the shops this time of the year . unless you are familiar with all the stuff in each shop , you don't know what they got until you are standing there with the gear in your hand . and if you're standing there with the gear in one hand , and a wad of cash in the other , then you don't know what they are prepared to sell it for . so you gotta be here . . .
the shops in whistler do have to make way for winter shit , so regular stuff does get sold at sale prices , and there are some killer deals to made on stuff that didn't sell over the summer ; weird sizes , odd colors , strange items , some big ticket stuff . but for your general , run of the mill shit you may as well either go to the co-op or develop a relationship with your local bike shop and take advantage of their specials when they come along .
so i guess you gotta get your ass back up here :damn:

I didn't see your answer by PM so I coudn't call you!
I was and I'm so stupid that I kept thinking about buying or not and decided to ride first, when I opened my eyes It was monday 6pm and all the stores were closed :( I got the bike and it was all OK but I wanted to have a look at:
- Shin Pads (it's time for mine to retire)
- Portable multi-tools
- Shock pump
- Waterproof riding pants
- A little bottle of oil to lubrificate my bike
- A mavic Spoke tool
- maybe a Dainese, 661 works too i think (piority but expensive)
- maybe a Goggle
- maybe a Camelback (not pryority)
I was thinking of buying all this in the internet... but I don't know which site, I know a lot of sites in the US but then I'll have the shipping and I don;t know if I'll have to pay costums fees...

go to mountain equipment co-op, you'll find most of that stuff at unbeatable prices. as for protection and goggles head over to the cove, i think theres still a sale on armour going on??
