November 19th is municipal election day in BC and our best chance to have our views not only heard but reflected in the make up of North Van District Council.
If you live or own property in the District now is the time to start giving some thought to how your vote can be used to protect trail access on Fromme and Seymour. This will likely be a make it or break it election for local trail access and will significantly shape the future of The Shore.
Municipal elections aren't the sexiest things, but they can have a huge effect on your local community and in the case of NVD in our continued enjoyment of the trails. Over the course of the coming month there will be All Candidates Meetings and the like during which you will be able to hear the views of the various candidates and ask them questions about what concerns you. I urge you to consider spending a few hours to attend at least one of these to educate yourself on what candidates best reflect your views so that you can make an informed vote on November 19th.
Keep the trails open!
