Is it still considered bad to ride CBC after it has rained? Or is the trail beefed up enough to ride in the rain?

yes. rained heavily or for extended periods, ie last couple days.

i think riding alot of trails in the rain can be hamrful, but the main reason cbc is stressed as a no rain zone is because it is such a high traffic trail which, rain or shine, will have riders going down it. on rainy days, trails on fromme will probably have less riders because people dont want to hike up in the rain. people will ride cbc, no matter the weather. bottom line, try not to ride cbc when it is raining heavily, or has rained heavily in the last few days.
I did not know that, thanks for asking the question.

if its poring dont ride it, if its snowing dont ride it. But if its average rain whatever! They cant possibly expect people who live on the shore not to ride because of the rain, so they should encorperate that into the construction. That being said they have done a damn fine job!

so the trail that probly takes the most beating on the shore you are willing to go and beat it some more, that trail has so much work done to it, the builders ask you not to ride it till 2 days after it rains and you cant respect that? there are 100's of other trails on the shore, pick another.

There is a difference between misting and pouring. If you couldn't ride the trail 2 days after ANY precipitation you could never ride the trail considering your guys' weather.
edit* That being said you probably shouldn't ride it when you know it fuck the trail up.

If there have been a few days of heavy rain avoid CBC. Go ride Neds or some of the other lower trails. If you must ride in the rain head up Fromme.

CBC has specially shitty soil for some reason.
in the winter it would take way more than 2 dry days for the trail to dry out, probably 4+ so that is just a guideline.
i had heard talk of another possible winter closure if it starts to get in bad shape again.
to any who said it's almost done: in my estimation the entire trail will need to be rocked, so that's a huge effort to complete still ... i know Jer and Lester can always use help up there :)
