Does anyone know what volume of oil per side? I read that Marzocchi suggests 75 - 80 mm measured from the top of the stanchtion, but I don't seem to have a way of measuring that without taking out the spring.

I read another post that said 250 cc but that seems too much because it fills up the stanction when fully compressed.

Also what weight of oil is reccomended? Can I use 5w/40 motor oil?

Thanks!

Oil is 7.5w. (Golden Spectro 125/150)

Oil is measured with the forks bottomed out, Springs REMOVED.

There are volume tables on Marzocchi's website. Easy tio find, and very accurate.

DO NOT USE MOTOR OIL!!!!!!!

You need to use fork oil. Motorcycle shops and bike shops have it.

It sounds to me like you should take it to youru shop this time and have them show you how to do it and to explain some of the stuff to you. You will learn a lot and then be able to tackle it on your own, safely.
