Sup Guys,

After a lenghty tough process I finally decided on purchasing the sx trail but since it's difficult to find this bike in any bike shop around where I live I was wondering if you could give me input on what size.

I've demo'd the small and it feels nice but just a bit cramped in the cockpit...but since I've never demo'd the medium I wasn't sure if that one felt the same as well...

Body type:
5 ft. 8.5 in. tall.
140-144 lbs.
a bit smaller than medium build regarding body type.

Any suggestions?...

buy medium - if you can find one. Anyone you see on the trail with a med enduro elite or better (2005) it is the same frame as the sx. Try that, or wait for 06 not for a while yet tho).

Im in the 5'7-5'8 range and the medium feels perfect to me. Id go medium, unless you prefer a tight cockpit for somereason.

I'm the same height as you and rode a medium, even then I thought the tt was short. I really liked it, but it was shorter than other bikes I had owned.

funny, i thought my sx trail(medium) seemed like it was on the longish side. im 6'0 and about 150lbs. I definitely am glad i didn't get a large. I rode my buddy's enduro pro in small, and it seemed doable, but a bit short. id say go medium, like i did.

Just a question, how much did you pay for the frame only?

Hmmm...I don't think you can just buy the frame for this model (In the U.S.), I believe you have to buy the complete bike.

I'm pretty sure you can look around and find it somewhere...I tried and the only sites selling it as a frame-only were from the UK.

Is there anthing special about the SX trail vs the regular enduro besides the shock?

Not really, it's pretty much just the components and paint scheme that make the difference...

how much do the lower end enduros go for vs the sx trail. I think it would be a cool bike with a shock that was a little more livley. mabey an avalanche or a romic

If you get the lowest end Enduro you can easily knock off 1,000 and some change from the SX Trail and if you get the middle of the bunch you can save about $5-$600 dollars (usd).

Yeah any of those shocks would look great on that bike...the 06 model is coming with full Fox suspension....
