There seems to be a great deal of these fork on ebay. I am trying to build up a Budget DJ bike (See my other thread). I only weigh in at about 140 and i am not a hack (at least most of the time :dizzy: ). So i thought this would be a good option for me but I must ask for NSMB's permision first! :D

Ive ridden one on a hardtail and ihave one on my heckler now.. its the best single crown ive ever ridden, plush, adjustable travel and lock out, my seals have always been great- never leaked oil... the tulito is the greatest invention ever, no tools to take off the front wheel! no stripped bolts.. and with the one i have now i ride it hard, i abuse it like i used to ride my big dh bike with dc forks.. i love it !

Stopping the travel of the fork so it doesn't bob while pedaling.

Am I the only one unhappy with my psylo? Wow, I would have guessed that I wouldn't have been the only one. I do like the adjustable travel, and if I weighed a lot less than maybe the fork would inspire more confidence.

the fork isnt the best for the heavy riders forsure..
but i've had a psylo before this.. after being droped off a chair lift and then ridden after words because the shop said it was a-ok it still didnt fail.. however i found out later on the frame cracked all the way under the down tube...
as for the pic of the snaped psylo.. who hasnt snaped a marz single crown?
oh but the fork isnt the stiffest underbreaking

well, I am 140lbs and I am 6' tall. Im a twig. (*see my pics from moab telluride and durango, yea thats my skinny ass toward the bottom*) Though I did break my friends Flick one time. But i'm 80% sure that was a fluke seeing as how my friend weighs 180 and can be a bit of a hack on a Mt. bike. So im sure it was just waiting to break and i was the lucky person to be riding it.

I wouldn't recommend it if you weigh a lot or like to land hard. But for easier all-mountain or XC riding, it's does the job quite well. Feels somewhat plush, the travel adjustment works fairly well, and the 20mm axle system is good.

Its a good heavy duty trail fork that can handle steeps and rough terrain without worry of it breaking in two. A real world heavy duty XC fork. The compression damping is unreal as its pretty hard to bottom them out. All the adjustements were top notch. Like Switch said, they can have problems when you really start pushing their limits. The SL was the best one IMO, followed by the Race (air) and then the XC. You can usually find one for cheap, and if so, pick one up.

Mine bottoms out any time my front end hits the ground. when its at 3" i get on my bike and it sag's to 1. At 5 it sag's to 2-3

Have you had a shop look at it? The Psylos are really common forks and most decent shops should have a mechanic who will know them inside out.
