I for one had an awesome time at Whislter during and after Crankworx, I
met a lot of great people and helpful to boot.

Props to: :google:
The guys at the Hayes tent w/ glasses that hooked my wifes bike up for free

The guys at the Norco tent even though he could fix the problem (I needed a new bearing for my Hadley), he spent over 1/2 hour trying and smiled the whole time

The guys at Fanatic co for straightening my wifes wheel after whe broke a spokle...Fixing my Hadley hub with a smile even though the bearing was frozen and it took him a couple of hours to get it off...And for giving me the correct bolts for my stanchions...and tons of other things they were helpful about

All the bike park staff that gave me great info about how each trail is, thankfully I didn't need their "help"

The bellmen at the Westin for taking awesome care of our bikes

There's a lot more I'm sure.
I'll be back next year and maybe I'll own Crack addict instead of CA owning me

Aloha and Mahalo

I think I met you on the chair. You were talking to me and my friend brad about your trail maybe?

There was someone from wissconsin and someone from kauai on the chair. If it was you that is awesome.

Glad you had a nice trip

I really enjoy crack addict now. Last time I had ridden the trail before crankworx weekend was not 2 seasons ago and I just wasn't good enough to ride it. When I tried it again this year I really liked it.

I'm pretty sure I know every DH/FR on Kauai, and as I was the only one there last week that was me :dizzy: I talked to quite a few people on the chairs, but now you know how to get a hold of me. So, if you're ever out this way drop me a line.

I can see how some people might get a bad experience from them, as they tend to only work on what they work on if that makes sense?
There was a guy w/ a road bike and the guy there told him "what ever you need for that bike we don't have", but he did tell him where to go to fix it.
They also don't seem to like Magura brakes too much either.
But hey, they were real nice to me :P

I was kind of bummed out that the lightning cut my last day short. I really wanted to do crack addict, whistler DH (the long rock runout psyched me out and I wanted to try it w/ someone around that can call the medics), and the manager's rock on Duffman I can't get out of my mind, and so on and so on.

All the other old Kauai FR's (team Santa Cruz hehe) are coming out first week of September (the young kids came out in July), my wife said I could go but I think my boss might have an issue w/ that. haha

Well, I'll see ya'll next year! Thanx for all the Aloha!...eh :canada:

How about a second time?

I take all of my bikes to Fanatyko for good reason, great wrenches and great owner. Sorry if you have heard otherwise, every shop makes mistakes from time to time, the true test of a shop in my opinion is consistency of service and (hopefully infrequent) service recovery, both of which they excel at.

Just my experience anyway...Jon

They are one of two shops I use in town. I have never had an issue with them.

kobe has always hooked me up, nothing but good service from them, usually pretty damn quick too

Are you kidding? You must have had a bad experience there, cause they kick ass! My friend was buying leg armour there, and didn't have quite enough money, so they gave him $10 off! And I bought new brake pads there, and I was about to put them in, when I realized my piston needed to be reset, and one the guys comes out and does it for me free of charge! They're all really super cool guys there. By far the best bike shop in Whistler, IMO.
