Errr... what is this? Looks like a blatant eggbeater copy, probably works with the same cleats, even.
It's the "Look 4x4"

Look licensed the design from Crank Bros.

hmmmm .. Why? Are they better... doubt it! Are they cheaper. I'll wait and see...
I myself would just buy they real deal, than the knock off!

If LOOK can buy an already developed product maybe its cheaper than re-inventing the wheel?

Yea, its nothing new. I think it is fully equiped with sealed bearings where as the egg beaters have one bushing. Im not sure wheather the bushing is on the outside or inside though.
I run egg beaters and i have never had a problem with the bushing. still runs like new. And by the way, the LOOK is more expensive.

And by the way, the LOOK is more expensive.
I picked up a set of Candy SL for my road bike for $62 US + $8 shipping...
Strangely they're $20-25 cheaper than the same stainless steel eggbeater without any platform (the original eggbeater).
Good to hear they licenced the design - it looked like total lawsuit bait if they didn't!

I'd actually probably go with the looks. They actually stand behind their products

How useful is that comment? I've dealt with Crank Bros. on three separate occasions and had responses within an hour for each one. On a warranty issue, I waited for less than four days to have the matter resolved.
If you're going to slag a company, make sure you back up your comments.

i have those pedals on my road bike, and they are OK. I wouldn't ride them on a mountian bike though. they don't have the greatest action and the float is kinda oddly variable depending on which side you engage on.
