Not to defend Grant but he didn't get the invite until the morning of the qualifier. He didn't have a chance to scope any lines or check out the hits.

That being said he didn;t throw any style into the stuff he could hit with his eyes closed either.

Grant is an interesting guy with huge balls and good skills, don't dump on him for not riding well in one competition.

He qualified 1st at Monster above all the big boys...and finished 8th above Paul B and Tyler Klassen...the guy can ride.

Haha, just for the sake of argument, how exactly does it hurt a sport to "make fun" of a high profile member of the sport? Especially when that high profile member is (IN YOUR OPINION) being detrimental (sp?) to the sport.

You'll notice that I haven't said anything about Grant as a person, ever. (I think his riding is ugly for the most part, that's it.)
BUT, if I hated him I wouldn't "tattle" to his sponsors, I'd just try to sway general opinion against him, because that would do a whole lot more than one angry email.

Oh wait, I do have one thing I think is stupid about Grand Brashears: I saw some clip of him once doing a big drop with no helmet. Now THAT is stupid, and bad for the sport.

I dunno...I guess I am getting tired of the negativity and the general pissyness of a lot of the people on the boards as of late. I don't see it as contributing to the boards or the sport for that matter.

I don't think that we all need to be happy happy PC robots either (those that know me, know I am definitely not PC…lol), but jeez...people get pissy over the stupidest things nowadays. Not everyone cares or wants to hear that you think their forks are shitty….or that you think so and so sucks…YAY…you have an opinion…we all do, but some of us have tact and self control. Just because you are somewhat incognito on the boards does not give you the right to be an asshole either…it blows me away how people change on here….I have been here for many years and I still can not understand it no matter how many times people try to explain and try to make excuses for their behavior on here and other boards. Oh well…we are all human, and very flawed as such.

and "i would have won monster park but i fell"
also saying that there has been no talent in the last couple UFC champs and that raceface has been just saying oh i guess he is good enough

he did have a good point about some of the non canadian riders not winning it when they are better but he did have a enough dumb things to say to make up for that
