Just rode the park today and had a blast.

The other Cyress Thread started positive, but then it started slagging the place by the middle of page 1. Its seems the thead has changed its tune again and the place starts to get good reviews at about page 5. I just wasn't sure people would take the time to read that much

So I thought I would start this thread to give the new Bike Park a bit of positive press. I feel we all should support it. Its only going to get better and the more $ it makes, the more it will improve.

Read the other thread, and post your Cyress highlights here.

Thought I would try a weekend day up at Cypress. Spent 4 fun filled hours between 10:30 and 2:30 today (Saturday) with no line-ups and very few hold ups coming down. $24 gets you a whole day, but to be honest I was completely fried after 4 hours and could do no more.

The double black diamond is looking really good under the main chair and should be open soon.

I hope they get enough riders to keep going because I think that this hill could be as good as Whistler in a few years. Anyone thinking of going up, should just do it, give Cypress your support, because it can only get better ….. and it’s pretty good now.

If anyone from Cypress checks out this forum, thank you, I had a great time and will definitely be back again soon.

posted today on the "Just spent the evening at Cypress " thead.

I think the mountain is starting to get it.

Its not whistler, But its fun. they've drop the $ a bit and have opened it up to all day tickets. It has a limited # of runs which gets a bit old quick, but you can really focus on cleaning / rippin' up the line you choose. 4 hours is enough really.

Try it. if they got this far in one summer, then the place should double its runs by next year, and so on. They just need riders to show the mountain management that the investment is worth it.

I rode silver star last year and it was lame. Now this year its one of the best hills around. So if Cypress gets the business it will prove to the owners to dump lots of money into it and build it up. Isn't it a lot shorter drive than whistler for all you coastal boys? That alone should make it popular.

Did Cypress yesterday. It was great. I thought it was kind of like an advanced B-Line. Some interesting woodwork up there too. No lines, everyone was helpful. A few braking bumps but no big deal. Go check it out... worth the $24.

No kidding, Cypress is (and will be even more in time) really awesome. I bought myself a pass, as it's not too expensive, and I figure it will be paid off pretty quick. They are kinda weird though, you still have to pick up a ticket, even though you get it free, it's weird. But all in all, super fun.

the new trail that opened today is awesome!!! Still needs some work, but super fun and natural. And one really challenging part.
