Well I think that they broke a few reocrds this day of Augest. I came down from my house and over the road and to see well, about a billion people in line for the park. Not only was the Fitz linejammed to over flow, out the corral for most of midday and beyond, the Gondy was jammed too, even with tourists milling about it was walking the bike everywhere, I think I did 3 runs, but 2 were practice top to bottom, got behind Pete Morin down a little of No Joke as well, that dude boogies eh? Tommorrow should be more of the same, oh Slopestyle was sick, 360 off the road gap, by guess who?

Yes and I am kind of glad I am injured. Even the valley seemed busy. This place is just going off :)

When do you think it will clear up to normal weekday loads of people?

Actually most industry folks are here till monday night or tuesday (at least the rm, manitou and norco tents were). The tourists will be gone though. So it still won't fell like winter time :D

I can walk but have problems breathing and bending over. I bruised all the ribs on my right side and messed up my shoulder. :)

how shitkicked are the trails though? with record numbers for a few days in a row, they had to take a serious beating.

i hate to use this four letter word, but we need RAIN.

a couple days of rain would not be so bad right now.

Dry, dusty, rutted, and there are some holes in weird spots. Like in the right hander before the drop on Dirt Merchant.

It's not quite like riding in sand, but the trails are way dusty and it's a bit hard to see where you're going on a sunny day.

One of the announcers said there was something like 1,800 people on the mountain on Saturday, and while I don't know if that's right, it sure as hell was crowded.

I don't disagree. Trails are dry and its scary. I would love some rain, besides, maybe I am nuts, but I find the trails sketchier than usual. I like 'damp' trails :)

Well it can't be the same, I couldn't stand or breath for 3 days and only recently got off the sofa. This is about the worse injury I have had, (worse than any break I had playing football, I think I would prefer broken ribs which I have had), in my life. When I think I am close to mobile, I end up not being able to move much beyond basic desk work. I can't even compress my fork without the wind being knocked out of me...and then I come close to passing out

Yes, this past weekend saw the highest number of bikers ever in the park.
