...to whoever took it upon themselves to dismantle a few jumps that had been built on Quickhit. It's such great stewardship and a high level of builder's etiquette to rip out something(s) that have been built by someone else, maintained by someone else and enjoyed by everyone but a few discerning riders.
Once again thanks so much for the "maintenance".
P.S. I always believed "unauthorized" work and maintenance was frowned upon up there, so I'm curious if this means it's open season on the hill as far as building and working on other's trails goes. Hmmmmmm..... a teeter totter on Platinum would be sweet!hmmmmmmmm.
Peace,timmy.
P.P.S. Any comments from builders on other hills would be greatly appreciated.

you should never alter someone else's work without getting permission from the builder first. however, if a trail feature poses a hazard to riders (ie many broken rungs, busted stringers, etc) then it's perfectly ok to close the line down by blocking it off with some branches/logs in the shape of an X at the start of the line.

The two features were taken out for two different reasons, one relating to liability and another relating to past Fisheries' activity / inquiries.
Talk with Dean. He has all of the info and he was supposed to pass it on.

From reading your post, I get a sense that you know, or have an idea, who ripped out the jumps? Is this the case or am I getting the wrong impression?
You are right that it's not proper ettiquette (sp) to modify other peoples trails, but that trail wasn't that good anyway. If you look at the other trails that have been built or maintained recently (ie Platinum, Blood Donor, Shotgun) the work on Quick Hit was not on the same level.
You can't have random people running around the mountain altering trails anytime they feel like it, but on the same token you can't have people running around the mountain building sub par trails.
Im guessing you have two groups of builders that may not see eye to eye on the matter. Seems to happen quite often with trail building.
