Ok so me and my friend are hoping to go up to crankworx August 4th or 5th- the 8th or 9th. We are 15 and we will be dropped off a truck camper on jacks. We are looking for somewhere to stay. Would anyone who lives there let us leave the camper on your driveway or anywhere on your property. Also, during crankworx do they care that much about camping in the parking lot? Does anyone know of anywhere were we could put out camper and not get in trouble.

Thanks Gareth

If I'm not mistaken, Day Lot #4 has overnight parking. That lot number is the farthest down.

Yah, but you`re not suposed to sleep in the lot......they`re usually OK with it though, but i`m thinking you will have major problems if you just dump a camper on jack stands-just too obvious.....not to mention the eye sore facter.

What would you do if/when they tow (or move, impound) the camper while you`re on the mountain?

Bad idea......hope someone lets you stay on their property.

Im pretty sure that your allowed to sleep in lot 4 because thats where everybody in campers and rv's go for the night I have also heard of ppl camping in lot 4 as well. You shouldnt have a problem with it but I could be wrong, you should definetly look into it before u go though cause u dont want to get towed or anything for doing it.

I think the main reason campers get away with sleeping in the lots duringsummer is because its summer. Sure Whistler is busy, but no where near as busy as winter with the ammount of cars being parked; there is also a 'Roads & Parking' division which is significantly reduced in size during summer months, so there is not so much policing. Not to mention that another factor is that during winter a lot of work needs to be done in terms of snow clearing and gritting and parked cars would get in the way of this.

Alright, had someone talk to the muni and were aloud to camp in lot 4 during crankworx aslong as there is no garbage alcohol or camp fires. Failing to comply with those rules will result in heavy fines. Sweeet, see yeah guys up there, I'll be on a blue balfa 2 step so say hi.

I drove past the overnight lot yesterday and saw a trailer on stilts. Same set up as yours Wellsy.

You'll most likely get to share the lot with team trailers, greyhound busses, and VW vans. Hopefully there are lots of people doing what you're doing, so you can have good times with other parking lot campers.

I wouldn't complain about spending the night with team trailors, wait a minute, they'll all be checked into the Pan Pacific. Oh well, anyone wanna join us?
