I crashed at Oak before, hurt the same places on my face as preston. Almost broke nose (was bleeding out of the nostrils) and scratch on the eyebrow and forehead.
It was my first time dj'ing, went way way way way too fast, dived into the next take off ramp. face hit stem then over the bar and hit ground.
glad ur ok preston

full faces are the worst possible thing to be wearing for dirt jumps in my oppinion, you cant see what the hell your doing.... like putting your hands back on the bars.
Get well soon. Good on ya for wearing your helmet.

exactly, dirt jumping absolutly sucks with a full face, same with riding a park
you should be shunned if you do this sort of thing!!! haha

Those that wear no helmut should be shunned. At least the people that wear a full face have the logic to put one on. But in the end that coveted 'hard core' immage is so cool.

Thanks - I just lost my appetite...
j/k :D
I hope you got your lacerations sewn up well so there isn't bad scaring.
As for a FF helmet, it's not going to help much if you smash your face into the stem. Specialized has a video with Brett Tippie, and he smacks his head into the stem/handlebars off a drop. He cut his forehead and was bleeding pretty good. Only think that's going to work is a cage like the ones that hockey players wear.

Agreed. Brian O broke his nose on his bike stem or handlebars after a drop - think it was in Superheros 2.
