Vedder Mtn

i'm thinking of heading up there this week. never been there and just looking for comments on good things to look out for. trails like the shore? rocky? any maintenance kept on it?

the trails are really fast and flowy, its not like the shore at all. the road up is really rough so make sure u have a truck if your going to be shuttling. the trails are kind of hard to find (some are pretty easy) but it would be better to hook up with a local to get to all the goods

last time i was up therethere was a pt cruiser and a focus
i've got an impreza wagon and it gets up no problem

Hiking up to get to the Den is a pretty easy push. 20 minutes or so.

not too worried about the shuttling unless we don't have a lot of light left. it all depends on how the border goes. sometimes it's good, other times they can be the biggest dicks on the planet.

they ask "what are you going to do in canada, ", (not noticing the 3 people in the car that match the 3 bikes on top), "uh, going biking."

I'd highly recommend a shuttle on Vedder, its alot of vert and there are 2 main routes down the mountain. You'll just get more bang for your buck that way.

I live nearby, have a truck and am more than willing to show anyone around. PM me if you want a guided tour.

As far as maintenance, the trails are buffed regularly by the locals, the road is 4X4 friendly/deactivated.
