Ok, so I've finally got a job, with decent pay, and I'm startin to get ahead of the game money wise. Time for a bicycle again.
What I wanna do: street/trials type stuff, not much on trails, I don't dirtjump, cause when I do, I break bones. I need a suspension fork cause my when I broke my left wrist (remember how I don't dirtjump...anymore), it gimped up the tendons in my wrist, and I wear a brace when working, I assume I'll need one while riding too.
I'm 6'2" 150lbs.
To give you an idea of what my last bike was, for what sorta size I do well with, it was a snipes 30-06 with a 2000 z1 qr20 5" travel on it, 175mm cranks, amoeba 6mm wall bars, a radical ingot stem, and dual 26" wheels.

I've been pointed at Planet X, but I'd kinda like to be able to buy a complete bike. Chromo or Aluminum doesn't really matter, but I'd prefer the cool factor of chromo, and I've never had a chromo frame before other than my 15 speed I had when I was 12.
I'd rather not be dropping huge amounts of cash on this, probably $1500 is my cap, for now, I can always upgrade later.
Oh ya, one other thing. I can't stand riding a single speed.
Last year's 250 or this year's 125 both appeal to me...thoughts on them?
thanks.

250 makes sense. i hate riding the buggers these days though- a touch on the big side. hmm, for completes, 24-7 does some nice stuff at good prices. It's hard to beat norco on price but 24-7 makes one heck of a solid effort. 1500 doesn't really get you a lot of bike. YOu can do pretty good and some completes at that price have the tyres and rims you'd get a little up the scale but things like brakes forks and headsets are somewhat down the line. Find something with like dmr Moto RT or K-rad tyres with rims you know will hold for your riding and the fork you need, which might be a Jumper or something.

oh, and most importantly learn what geometry works for you. it's not about size so much as it is about geometry.

What about a DOC? They get rave reviews...I know they're just frames though.
