just heard that there was another avalanche in the revelstoke area 7 dead:( 15-16nyear olds form the calgary area 14-15 in the avalanche altogether

If your going back country make sure you have all the avalanche gear you need and then some. Make sure you have proper training with avalanches and use caution. Too many people die from avalanches.

they mite of i hear it was a massive avalanche...1 mile long and half mile wide :eek: :eek: ...i also hear it wasn't a crazy place or anything a fairly known and "safe" place...RIP

actualy they have all the avalanche saftey gear including beacons and such but the avalanche was so huge nothing would have helped.

my school hosted those guys's senior team (strathcona tweedsmuir) lasted year for Rugby...:S

That is tryuly terrible, plese if you're gonna go into the backcountry take some training check out www.bcmc.ca I took one of their avy courses it was the best thing ever, it might save my life and someboady elses someday.
