Trying to decide between 3 forks all within a similar price range to go on a 04 Norco Six

04 Super T
04 Boxxer Team
05 Boxxer Ride

I live in SF and will need to climb to get to trails. Main use will be freeriding and downhill, bike parks (Northstar, Kirkwood) and maybe dirtjumping.

Thanks!

Personally, I would go for the boxxer ride. The team may have better dampening (and could be smoother on the downhills) and will have more adjustments which you may be interested in, but the ride would be more versatile with the travel adjustment. Also, the ride has the redesigned lowers which are stiffer, have longer bushings, more tire clearance, etc. (and look better?). They both have 7" (7-5.25" for the Ride). Hope that helps!

I think I saw Sideshow with Boxxer Ride on his Peeler up at Whistler a few weeks ago. Maybe he can chime in or you can send him a PM and see how he likes it.

if your gonna get a supert, get an 03 instead of an 04, it has better internals and adjustments.

The Boxxer Team has the most effective compression adjustments than the other forks listed. The Ride has adjustable travel. You make the call.

I was talking to him up in Whistler last year with that fork on his Hooker. He didnt seem to have any reservations about it. Easy adjustments from what he showed me - just turn a dial. Personally if you're not going for an all out DH Fork, I'd suggest the ride to be the more versatile of the three.

If you end up picking up the Super, I'd suggest you also look into a product from northshorebillet.com called the flip flaps - they replace the QR fastening "clamps". When I worked in a shop, a number of people lost them on the trail. Not only were they hard to order in, they were also quite pricey if I remember right.

Maybe consider a 66 or other long travel sc, like a flick or something. Just something to consider perhaps, im not sure what fork came stock on the 04 six. Out of those id go with the Boxxer Ride.
