Hi guys, I will buy a new frame soon and my choice came for these 2 frames, a 2001 m1 with a swinger 4-ways or a rmx r2 with the dhx 5.0. I mostly do jump in my city (dirt jump, gap) I rode urban too (stair gap, drop) and I do downhill. I'm a really versatile rider if I can say that. I don't plan to race. I was thinking about the m1 because it's a 4-bar and it's light but it's maybe a little bit too much for me so help me in my decision. Dont try to understand how I can get these 2 frames, it's so different and the price isn't the same but I have a good deal.

Review, pro and con about the 2 frames would be nice too.

thanks guys

my take, while i have never ridden either, is go with:
1) the one that is newer. New is better.
2) whatever feels better.

The m1 is a race bike. its what it was built to do. and its now 4 years old. and unless its never been ridden, its gonna be feelin those 4 years.

just my opinion

I assume your talking about an Intense M1 frame. if this is correct then, well, this bike is not for you. unless your going to race alot, the M1 is not the bike you need. Its designed to go fast and be glued to the ground, not taken up the shore hucking. the rmx on the other hand is the kinda bike you take out and beat the crap out of doing whatever. if your into four bar linkage, try something like a bighit, which is more suited to your riding style. like umbullit says, that M1 will probably be feelin those four years and probably need all the suspension pivots overhauled. i reccomend other frames, the M1 is simply only for the racer.

yeah, i agree with this dude, buying a bike from 2001 is alot different from buying a bike from 2005. the rmx is pdrobably better simply because of the age.

yeah it's an intense m1, the bearing were changed and the shock is almost new. I think you're right guys, I will give the m1 for my friend who want to race and take is rmx.
