I was riding up Ledgeview in Abbotsford today, when a bear ran out of the bushes on the left side of the trail crossed about 15 feet in front of me, and took off on the right.
So, now, at least I know: My dog is not interested in chasing bears, but my friends dog is.
Not much of a tale, but still - an exciting moment. Who'd have thought there would be bears in Abbotsford.
On another note - we rode Lebiteme from the top. It's all in fairly good shape, and most of the work on the razed lower section has been replaced even better than before. The last stepup onto the log looks like an accident waiting to happen, though.
Lost Oakleys is primo right now. Ran into Gary and his gang, doing some work. Well done guys! It was nice meeting and chatting briefly with you.

Steve, not Andy. And I'd prefer to be thought of as sexy by a member of the female persuasion, rather than either a male or a dancing bear, but thanks anyway.
Yo Duke, I sent your brake with gary yesterday.
Hey stillgoing we should hook up for a ride on Sumas, Id like to try something other than knobgobbler and Timekiller.
Also do you know where you go when you exit timekiller, I take it you climb way back out the road now but where does that leave you as far as hooking up a trail to take you down to the bottom?

Rat: At present, the plan is to ride Sumas on Thursday, right after work. That would probably put us starting to ride up around 6:00 or 6:30. Still tentative. Join us. Almost for sure do time killer. We may not do much else, but we can at least point out other trails on the way up.
Climbing the road after timekiller, it "T's". Just before the "T", Logarithymz crosses the road from left to right. But, it's in very bad shape. At the "T", left and up on your right is where Noah's fear exits. That's edfinately a worthy trail, and starts a few meters past the washout. Or, after the T, go right and through the gate to the main road. Up the road and on your right a couple hundred meters (I think) is another fireroad. In there, on your right, follow trails, but it gets confusing and a guide might be best.
Last time I hit timekiller I ended up in sombodys backyard.
Thursday might work for me, Id like to hit knobgobbler though. thats my fav trail up there.

Looks like it's a go. I'll check this site before the end of my work day @ 4:30.
My cellphone's down, so we'll have to rely on this, or I could call when I'm at home changing and packing. Sumas: Yup. Route: TBD.
I got overruled and it looks like were going to fromme. Im going to hit Timkiller tommorow afternoon around 2:00
Which trail did you see the bear on? Lebite me?

Saw the bear on the road up, about 200 feet before the LeBiteMe entrance. (Speedway, or whatever the hell it's called)
