So, tired of mentioning that trails here in Squamish need to be tuned up? I hear you talking about it - so now's your chance to do something about it. Trail day on Diamondhead this Sunday - for a new XC trail!
We need the help - the trails here see more and more riders (especially on NSMBA days when people try to avoid labour) - we need some karmic loving.
Squamish population: 15,000
Lower Mainland population: 1.5 million.

Hi, everyone,
This coming Sunday, July 17th, there is a special trail building event. You could be involved in creating “ReCycle”, an intermediate swooping XC trail that starts near the top of “One Man’s Garbage” and ends near the top of “Pseudo Tsuga”. The trail is being built for the GearJammer, the BC Championship XC race that takes place August 20th – and for everyone who wants another significant intermediate downhill run in Squamish. Net proceeds from the race go to SORCA and to Search and Rescue, so the trail karma you build up is immense!
We need people who are able to run chainsaws (and happen to own one!), people who are willing to swamp out the cut stuff behind the saws, and people who are able to cut trail bed into the hillside. The more hands out there, the faster the trail goes in.
Meet on the Garibaldi Park road, at the turn-off to Pseudo Tsuga at 10 am. Bring water and work gloves and snacks and dress for whatever weather we have. If you own a shovel or mattock or bowsaw, that would be useful too. And before long, we can ride the thing…
See you there!
