^i don't find that its "a crock of shite" or even an issue to hang out with my son. i think it's important to recognize that we should always value the time we get to spend with our kids because there will be a day when they won't be here. my son rides now so we go for short urban rips or rides on burnaby mountain.

the part your missing is the fact that on every pre agreed time frame that paul has to himself it usually is infringed upon by his "situation" with a previous marriage and the ability to share the responsibilitry's of caring for a child

so its definately a situational thing that has entirely to do with being able to actually know the circumstances

that's too bad, sounds like the child (children?) are being used as pawns. i'm pretty lucky in that my ex and i have a set schedule, i can count on riding every second week.

My son is not the pawn, I am. He can count on me all the time I gladly stay at his side. Single parenting was my choice and I don't regret that. I will make it out next time, maybe. Have a good ride.

i think my comment was misinterpreted. i also chose to be a single parent and do not regret any time i spend with my children. i would in fact prefer full custody but that would not be fair to my children.
