it's been awhile since i posted some pic's so here goes....appearently i'm a little bored today

work pic of a self-loading/ self dumping log barge.....this one actually didn't dump. there sure would be alot of log rides to make from that pile of logs.

ahh the new "toy" for hauling the toys.....just got it and i'm loving it. first new auto.......after 20 years of driving junkers it's finally nice to have a new truck.

yep, BC is the only place in the world that does this. our company has 4 barges that are able to do this, the largest be able to haul 15,000 tons of wood(yes a small forest). anyhow the cranes load it(about 12-24 hrs) at some small site anywhere on the coast and when we get to the dump site we flood the barge one side and the barge slips out from under the wood(less then 2 hrs).....the wood actually doesn't move much....
