We're hitting K-Town on Canada Day, as Day 1 of a road trip.
Can we get up to the Gillard Trails by Honda Civic, or do we need a truck (we've also got an SUV at our disposal for the drop-off shuttle)?

What would you suggest as a decent first run (ie veering on easier, rather than harder :dizzy: )?
Anyone going to be riding (12:00 - 16:00) that wants to shuttle, or guide our sorry asses around?
Cheers

If your worried about the road then maybe powers might be your better bet. It is a little more rider friendly also but has lots of big stuff. Its not that hard to find and there are lots of pics on pinkbike. Go to Outbound cycle in Westbank to get directions.

The same reason you like the diddler so much.Fast, nice lines and has a big..........Drop!!
Not sure how's the road condition now but back in 2003, a honda civic would make it up ok (although very slow). However, I probably try to get at least a vehicle with more ground clearance up there. I dont recall any big water bars but the service road was quite a washboard in sections.

Yes a civic will make it up Gillard. Just go slow, it's very washboardy.
For a nice flowy easy ripper do Cat's Ass then Fists First then Whobly Pops.

Cheers for the responses
If we take just the SUV up, what are our chances of the driver hitching back up?
Any of you about on Friday?
Diddler - I just emailed you about P Creek

Addiction trail is a nice quick couple time shuttle/rip after a long day at
Gillard or Powers. Fun stuff and really fast.
