Hemlock is in a big hole right now. they need help desperatly before they go under.

thats to bad. have never skied there nor biked there. But was willing to go for it this summer. to bad. hope they get things going on the plus side of things

Wfact that lift parts must come from Europe, the lift will not be ready in time for the summer.

Ever hear of FEDEX???? What are they shiping them over on a canoe?

Is Cypress up there sabatoging (sp?) their lift???

this sucks, cant afford time and $$ to go to whistler now this....gonna have to ride up the hills!

Wow, between the prices at Cypress, and now this, it looks like I won't be riding much lift accessed stuff this year. Whistler's good for a couple of days this summer, but my wallet can't handle more than that. I was looking forward to some cheap days at Hemlock. :(

Could be true. Last year I was talking to this girl and apparently her dad is the real estate agent for Hemlock. The mountain is hardly profitable if at all and the owner is apparently a bit out there and is insisting on an asking price much too high.


I also seem to remember hearing from someone that the lifts are always *just* meeting safety standards because of the low input of cash to repair them.

Its a real shame because that mountain is always a huge load of fun whether it's winter or summer.
