View Full Version : A Big Thank You ....
.... to whoever has spent a lot of time and effort to make Pipeline such a sweat intermediate trail.
I have not ridden this trail in 6-8 months, and I have just got back from taking a mate down the trail who is still learning to ride on the shore. This trail is in superb condition and is a great place for intermediate riders to learn some skillz and gain some confidence.
The rocked in roller coaster in the middle is unbelievable. I wish I had a photo to post...a truly impressive piece of work. I know Peter works on Upper Oil Can and Dean has been working on Kirkford/Krinkum, but no idea who is looking after Pipeline.
Whoever you are, if you frequent the forums, please stand up and take a bow, and again thank you.

Greg and slawek, a couple of guys who moved here from poland, started riding, liked the trail and started working on it!
Come out to the trail day on July 24th!
Hi Sharon,
I c u appear to be enjoying the roller coaster to. Any air on the third one?
My son and I will definitely be out on the pipeline trail day and hopefully we can meet Greg and Slawek and say thanks personally.
Anyone looking to introduce friends or newish riders to the north shore should take them down pipeline.

i spent a few hours shuttling rocks for those guys about a month ago. I think it was greg i met, very nice guy, i think he is a general contractor. This may explain the good building concepts.
Even more amazing work has been done on this trail recently. It's one of the sweetest flowing trails on Mt. Fromme, similar to 7th in this regard. I am really looking forward to July 24th (Pipeline trail day) to help these guys with their work. To Greg and Slawek, again thank you.
I know many have complained that work of this nature "dumbs down" the trail, but that's the price of sustainability and while it may not be the challenge some are looking for, it's still a fun ride.
Met a couple of Kiwis this afternoon who had just ridden Pipeline, or more accurately 'spoiled a nice walk by having to carry a bike'. They said they did not realise how tough the shore was. I let them know that Pipeline was a beginner slash intermediate trail, as gently as I could, and they should check out some of the single or double black runs like Ladies or Upper Oil Can. I was met with stunned silence and they looked more than a little appalled.
O'well, welcome to the "Shore". :)

yes... Props to those guys indeed!!
Sharon/anyone, is there any chance of Ladies Only seeing some love soon? it saddens me to see such a wicked-awesome trail in such a state of dis-repair.
