View Full Version : feel good about yourself, help out an Aussie
I'm heading over to B.C. on the 13th July from Australia. Planning to stay for maybe 2-3months. What I'm after is a place to stay, not set on any specific area, wherever there is riding to be had. I plan to buy a "cheap reliable car" to do a bit of travelling round but would like to have some sort of base. Does anyone have a room to rent for a couple of months? I'd be more than happy to pay my share. Dont want to waste my hard earned savings on dodgy hostels & hotels, always worrying about bike security.
A long shot, but worth a try I figure, anyone willing &/or able to help out, please let me know.
Cheers,
Nedi (Brad) 27yo male, enjoys mtb'ing, i'll stop now.

"cheap and reliable" to describe a car is somewhat of an oxymoron i'm afraid. however, bunny has a basement i'm sure she'd want to rent...

Nedi.
You might want to get a little more specific about where in BC you want to stay. Because I'm sure there's some sasquatch of a woman up in Quesnel or someplace that would love to dig her paws into an innocent Australian bloke. You'd probably get chained to a fireplace and be forced to eat dog food in your tighty whities.
For a car...track down an early 90's civic and you'll probably do good. Cost you about $1000 and it will go forever. I can sell you some roof racks for it too.

Be more specific on where u want to be living, theres riding all over BC, some places the cost of living more $$ than others.

Will this take a Class 2 hitch?
I thought rosscofat meant moped (stillgoing, you were quick on the pic), but they only got 2 wheels, not much room to carry around a mountainbike. Already checked out buysell thanks Dirk. To be more specific, Nth Van would be cool, but to be honest, I'm not too fussed, things seem to pan out for a reason, maybe I'm destined to eat dog food in my tighty whities whilst chained to a fire place (I liked that one Dirk). Just keen to ride some cool trails & meet some cool people to ride them with. It's that simple.
