"He intends to put 12 men on the ice in full hockey uniforms, two at a time sans sticks, so they can punch it out for 60 seconds in front of a panel of five judges. Each man will get a flat fee, with additional cash to be allotted to winners. Wolski declined to put numbers on the dollars."

Maybe Bertuzzi can finally make his way back into hockey?

woopity doo

there's worse thigns happening to waste your energy whining about than a hockey fight tournament

this brawl deal is retarded, i think it's lame too. such a stunt.

why not put boxers on ice skates next time?

06-17-2005, 04:40 AM
Or just go watching real boxing. I personally dont see the point, hockey should be about hockey, leave the fighting to the fighters (boxing, ufc, all that stuff)

06-17-2005, 04:47 AM
i mean i like seeing fights in hockey, but i like seeing it as PART of the game. fights for a reason, not in an event like this. some of the best hockey i've seen has been olympic stuff and stuff where fighting isnt the emphasis.

i dunno, i think this is the white trash monster truck demo derby equivalent of "hockey".
