Ignoring the bike park and XC riding in Fernie - are there enough trails in Fernie for big bikes to enjoy?

I did a search on Fernie and found nothing but people asking the same questions and not getting any answer.

I do know of ONE (stunt/DH) trail that ends at the provinical campground that looks good. But are there more?

Thanx

There is great riding in Fernie. you can shuttle three trails that kick ass. great stunts9 some of the best i have evr seen0 and long flowing lines. you might have to find a local to show you where they rea, but it is on a map. thats on the north side of fernie towards your south east there are road gaps and some trails in the woods that you can access on a fire road. fernie kicks ASS. 8)

Fernie's funny. They keep that whole scene under lock & key...but for good reason, it keeps the riff raff of the good trails.

3 Kings is awesome, Radio Tower (might be that ridge trail) is a long epic descent...plus they've got loads of other great trails. Hedonism, Bridget Fonda, 3 kings are 3 of the more "build up" type trails.

I suggest you talk to someone at the Guides Hut in Downtown Fernie, they should be able to point you in all the right directions.

thewwk, nah man, you don't wanna come here to bike, it sucks. You should come for the kayaking. You just missed Riverfest, it's this weekend, but the way it was raining at 6 pm today, the Elk is peakin' and should be for the imminent future. If you like 4+ water, start driving.

Riding Fernie is great. The place to go is on the opposite side of town from the ski hill riggemont edgemont somethin like that. If ya catch a local ask for bridget fonda. Talk to Ian at straight line cycles he will likely give you what your lookin for.
