For all those people who shuttle Cypress or Seymour for that matter, please completely change lanes when passing cyclists. Last night a vehicle buzzed me pretty good while I was pedaling up Cypress and it wasn't sightseeing tourists. It was loaded with some pretty high end bikes.
Take it easy on the road. There's no traffic these days up Cypress so take the middle lane.
All of us lung-busters thank you.

Yes, yes, yes. I've been buzzed by more than a few shuttle vehicles on Seymour. Also, motorists, please do not creep up on bikes and change lanes at the last moment.
You might find this helpful, but nowadays I ALWAYS look back when I hear a vehicle behind me. Most importantly, I will keep watching the vehicle over my shoulder until they change lanes. Since I started doing this, I have only rarely been buzzed and only by a foot or so.
Drivers prefer to do their dangerous driving when they know they aren't being watched.

Also, there's a ton more people riding up Seymour these days due to the better weather. I'm sure Cypress is the same.
No need to drive in the right lane unless you absolutely have to. There could be a bike around every blind corner, so please slow down and enjoy the scenery.

I havn't gotten buzzed yet, but pretty close. Its amazing when drivers don't move over when they have two lanes and no traffic. I've climbed Cypress on my road bike twice in 4 days without incident fortunately.
When I drive up, I usually get in the left lane anyway to avoid hitting someone riding.

W3rd. I've been buzzed close going up Seymour. And I got passed pretty damn close a couple weeks ago climbing the Mountain highway on Fromme - I could feel the truck-mirror brushing by.

Yes, take it easy drivers. I can see a non-mountain biker buzzing someone thru hate, but a vehicle with (High end) bikes? Come on fellow riders!
