Calgary area amateur racing?

Any poeple here know about any amatur racing events in the Calgary area this summer? I was planning on getting into racing this year, but don't know where to start.

I'm hoping Canada Olympic Park will host some, but have no idea.

you're outa luck dude, from what i have heard cop is not in the racing business any more. It's to bad because the previous staff they had put on great races, and built great race courses from scratch. Come out to panorama on june 24-26 and race the mad trapper.

yea... unfortunatly COP isnt hosting any races for this season. They might get back into it next season... and i REALLY encourage them to do that.... it would be great for everybody. if you want to give racing a try, there is a somewhat close race to calgary on the canada day weekend, in Rocky Mountain House. www.rmbnb.com i think has some info about it. they will have 2 races on 2 tracks... im stoked!
