Hemlock DH cancelled!

unfortunately, DH race #1 of the SISU BC Cup has been cancelled due to mechanical difficulties. (both chairlifts are out of service)

The saturday XC is still going on as scheduled

I just called Hemlock and it's confirmed - the DH race is cancelled because the lifts are broken. This is seriously lame.

Due to unforeseen challenges, the downhill race has been cancelled. The cross country and biker cross events will go ahead as scheduled.


we should organize a beer race, like on B-line or something, on every corner down a beer, then keep riding to the next corner all the way down, so you get the feeling of racing and drinking at the same time, what a sweet combination!

this is poor, i understand about mechanical difficulties,they happen, but if you are going to have a race there should be a back up plan. Set up shuttles, or whatever it takes to keep the race alive.
