saw pro putting the finishing touches on a couple of these takeoffs on monday, hopefully it means a consistant, predictable take off! gotta love the innovation and problem solving!

Take it easy when you are hitting these jumps for the first time. They are super fast and send you. Feel 'em out for a couple of run and then give 'er. We also fixed a braking bumps section with the same method. Hope it works.

yeah, I noticed that hitting the one after the join-up with dm....that one I think should've been left mellow since it's so short, you completely overshoot the tranny without even trying.....plus before it was fun to do little righ-to-left transfers.....but all in all a great improvement I think...

are the bricks laid in the jump then covered with dirt? or do you ride on top of them like the lips for the box last year? Im confused.

I found both of those jumps way too lippy. They both send me nose down.

i compensated for the first one and ended up overshooting way past the tranny into the right hander.

The last one I ended up nose manualling most of the tranny and scarring the crap outta myself just above the shale section...

I like the idea, but maybe the lips could be adjusted to match the rest of A-Line so there is consistancy ?

Big ups though for continuing to search for innovation !

I mostly agree.....but i figure it will just take a bit of time and we`ll all be used to it again.

i had a frighteningly similar ecperience. I think that they should be putting blocks in the trannys of a few jumps on aline where people always brake right after the jump, causing the worst bumps on the trail.

Well I personally think the new lips are great. It's nice to have some variety on A-line. I think people jsut need to realise that the jumps aren't the same as they remember them from last year.

Also, while I think they're a great idea for the takeoffs please don't put them anywhere else (like berms or landings). I imagine they'd be a very nasty thing to fall on.

THe ones before the berms make sense and so do the lips, if they want that trail to survive the next 10 years we will see all the lips and certain turns armoured up, just enevitable, ennetitble, envitable......enevitable!
Inevitable?

They have both been mellowed a bit. The first one is like it used to be before the bricks and the second is not as lippy, so it does not kick. Still it is better to feel them out on your first run.

you can pop out of something with alot of lip and go high for once...people are too used too plowing into lips, not hopping, hoping the lip will set them up perf for the landing...i'd love to see someone try to ride a 6 foot spine like that.

I think you under estimate the majority of riders...

I was finding the last jump before the shale too lippy too last Tuesday. Kicked me up like crazy. Could have been my jumping, but I was hitting every other jump smooth. We'll see if it's different this Friday when I'm up there.

after a couple of runs on saturday, both jumps began to flow for me. The first run on friday was sketch-city, they were not like I remembered them.

Are you kidding? A-Line is the moutain biker's super highway. If the only thing you ride is A-Line, you will be on your ass after the first set of roots on CBC.

A-Line is a great run; super popular, and innovative...but not for everyone. I'll take Clown Shoes over A-Line every time.

That said, I'm excited to see what Freight Train has in store...
