There are lots of good lift accessed bikeparks all over the world but whistler has a huge lead on all of them.

http://www.diablofreeridepark.com/ looks kinds of good
and
http://www.morzine.com/ete/uk/sport/index.asp
is getting popular as well.

There are a lot of resorts out here that offer lift service. None from what i can gather, is of the caliber that whistler is at..
i also know that northstar in california has some amazing trails.

Something, while not whistler like, that is worth the trip, i can vouch for, is downieville, california.. there is NOTHING like 17 miles of singletrack dh. You all should try it sometime.

I have not been to either, but plan to this summer. There is a local mountian here, that has some fun trails, and some just great terrain.. We have a 7 mile dh shuttle here in town, that im still trying to find a stooge to shuttle me up.

be sure to make a thread about those places when you go there. I've snowboarded at big sky and it's awesome, so I can imagine it having amazing biking.

Bozeman is a good town, some solid riding from what i have heard, so im really looking forward to it.

From all i have heard, its amazing out there. kalispell itself also has some amazing riding, the trails are all pretty well hidden, but the local shops, can direct you in the right direction. That whole country folk thing holds true out in these parts.

There will be threads from all the diffrent mountains that i hit.. Big sky, big mountain might, as i recently was there, and was not really impressed. the locals told me its nothing that great, and i would belive them, after looking at the mountain first hand. Schwitzer mountain is also on my list, as they hold some of the norba events there, and thats gotta say something.

Been a couple years since i`ve been their.......but in my oppinon Sunpeaks is sweet........never crowded like whistler......and much more low key.....layed back.

Isn`t it run by the same people.....company (inter west ???), it`s just like a smaller whistler.

i used to live in bozeman and there are some pretty good trails on the bridger range. lots of dh and hard-ass uphill.

as far as biking at big sky, i've heard it's pretty gnarly. lots of rocks. your pretty much riding down the side of a volcano. lots of sharp, cut into the flesh rocks. sounds like fun.

bozeman rocks. check out the bar called the zebra. You might get branded if your one of the lucky ones.

well it doesn't :) silver is the place to go if you are heading that way. swing by kellog and hit up Silver mtn. (silvermt.com).

I will be hitting up big sky this summer also. I will give my opinion on that when the time comes.

someone mentioned vail. I was there a few years ago and It was fun as hell, I would Imagine it to have only gotten better.

If you're going to Montana, Kalispell/Whitefish in particular, you might want to give Fernie a try. Not too bad, both lift-serviced and non lift-serviced.
