I take it this is a new trail this year? What is it like? It's recommended for a warmup run, so I take it it isn't overly difficult.

Anyone ridden it?

Its twisty and turny, moderate steepness with lots and lots of roots. Spits you out at the top of the crabapple hits. Super fun trail.

it was done at the end of last year, and ends up at the bottom of CAH next to Aline's bridge, take a look at the bike park sites gallery and they have added a few things I think...

Yeah, I saw the pictures. That's what got me curious. Monday I'll hit it. :D

Its flowing single track. Some nice tight turns in the trees that runs along a creek. nice to rip down, nothing really hard, just some nice, natural flowing trail that you wish would never end.

Where's the entrance to it?

On the way to Dirt Merchant, turn right immediately after the 1st bridge. The entrance is about 200 m from the chair lift.

This should be Angry Pirate's motto. Awesome trail. I don't go to Crabapple at the bottom junction cause Angry Pirate is just too much fun...

Where do we sign the petition for Lower Lower Angry Pirate? After it there's the choice of A-Line (which I already would ride when doing A-Line) or World Cup Singletrack to Ho-Chi-Min/Crack Addict, which I do after Smoke and Mirrors.

Garbanzo opening will help my boredom though.

there's a quick shot of Billinghurst pumping through Angry Pirate in No More Heroes. Heavy front shock and upper body work to ride it properly. Pump pump, lean, lump.

I checked the Gallery, they've been working on the Pirate? Where abouts? I don't recognize the area.

yeah but adam's not right! I crashed hard early on the whistler dh trying to keep up to him when he was drivetrainless a couple seasons ago.....they ride b-line without pedalling for fun....that's how you get fast folks, no chain, staying off the brakes, and learning to corner and pump rollers.....

A new trail is being built right now and it will be like Angry Pirate. Duncan, who built Smoke 'N Mirrors is doing the honours. You will have to ask him where it is, but I can tell you that it will be fun, fun, fun.

the top part was certainly surly today! holy slick batman! I was a bit surprised they hadn't closed it to preserve that first part, it's uuuugly!

It was muddy and lots of puddles today. Personally I don't think it is like super great but I've only ridden it in the rain. Still a fun ride. Lots of pumping.

What about that trail off Expressway? (not Twist and Shout or whatever) I know it's hidden and all, but it looked pretty slick last year. I don't want to say too much incase it's still secret or something.

dm was a bit slick this morning, not as bad in the afternoon, but the end right before the junction was rather soupy....

The Angry Pirate owned me yesterday. No one told me that puddle at the tree line was two feet deep. Over the bars. Into the mud. Owned by the Pirate. Good times.

Other than that, fun trail.

It wasn't bad the rest of the way. Mucky and a little slick, but not bad.

yeah, the very top was a soupy nightmare, but the rest was just well greased with mud. Steering was a bit challenging.

Check this out on Angry Pirate. We'll do more of this to improve the flow.

Whoa...been a year since I have been on angry but dang. I really hope it doesn't go all wooded in the rougher parts, I really enjoyed the flowy single track feel to it. That trail is a blast as it is :)...

Actually remind me of the chris marckle trails in lost lake but all downhill and a bit more techy :)

Road it just after they made it at the end of last season. Nice and tight good warm up trail before heading to the top of the mountain.

If you rode in the wet, don't criticize it. I'd apologize to the trail for riding it :agree:
