I have recently moved to Vancouver from Ontario, both myself and my girlfriend have never needed a car, and as such have let our licences expire (we are going through the process again so we can ride all of the trails that we can't get to right now). That being said, we still wont be able to get our licences before the end of the summer, so how would someone get up to whistler without a licence, we are willing to help with gas money, and on mondays and fridays we have off we will probably go up with the huckwagon our days off vary week to week. Any Suggestions?

You can also take the greyhound from vancouver to whistler. Not sure on the pricing but I think it runs a few times each day.

There is always a 8:00 AM and a 4:00 PM. I think its something like $36 round trip or $18 one way. Pretty reasonable and the seats are comfy :agree:

It also costs to bring the bikes up. The bus charges it as oversized luggage :)

bum a ride from someone and pay half the gas, cheaper than greyhound and you make a new riding buddy.

post up and ask for a lift, someone's bound to have space, I think I will at the end of the month

Where does the bike go if i take greyhound up, and i will be trying to go up as much as possible, so i don't want to plug up the boards with requests for a lift

Isn't Tim from Huckwagon doing shuttles up to Whistler this year? I think so. www.huckwagon.com

I will most likely be heading up fairly often on Thursdays, also a smattering of other days along with it.
Keep your eyes peeled on this forum, I'll usually throw up a post about a day or so in advance.

yea it costs $18 for a one way, and a extra $10 to take your bike, and you just pay that to the driver as your getting on, and it runs every day, multiple times a day

18 one way, plus 10, so over 40$ RIP OFF. if you bum a ride itll be cheaper, and u get too chill and listen to tunes with a fellow rider. Only thing is it isnt quite as reliable.

and the greyhound wont jam on you at the last minute. if your a totally care free person who takes everything easy, then bumming a ride is the option. if its a life or death thing to you if you get up there, then take the hound, takes out the stress factor.
