I went to equador fairly recently, and if you've read the news Quito just recently had a revolution and chased away its military dictatorship... These photos that I took are from shortly before it. We north americans (yes you too canadians) had to be very weary of being attacked in Quito because of the restlessness of the times... here are the pictures, enjoy.

You probably see his image on trendy mall boy's t-shirts. He was a socialist, and his face is now plastered all over capitalistic goods made for extreme profit. Vive american commercialism!

it looks really nice there! would be kinda freaky to walk around at night I guess though
