well, after 2 years of really wanting to go, but not having a ride, I'm finally able to go...soon :dizzy: I've heard people raving about a-line, but then I hear that people bitch and complain about hardtai lriders doing the trail. should I rent one of the kona rental bikes? or just giv'r on my hardtail ?

just givver on the ht,if ppl bitch and complain about a slower rider thats htere problem,and its not the end of the world if pl complain about u..........deffinatly just givver

Noone bitches and complains about hardtail riders, they bitch and complain about slow riders that don't pull over for the pass.
Be a courteous rider, like driving the freeway, and you'll have no problems. Don't bother renting, it's mega $$.

people dont complain about ht riders... slow rider it is.. even if ppl complained about ht.. who cares? its not your problem.. =D

Actually, you don't go THAT much slower on HT compared to a FS. Except the stutter bumps. I managed to keep pace with some veterans up there on A-line.
And it's a whole hell of a lot more fun on a HT. But more physically and mentally tiring as you have to constantly pick the BEST line, soak up hits, and still maintain a good level of speed and control.
People don't bitch about HT riders. It's just the slow people who don't move off to the side. I almost nailed one of those guys today... Freaking stopped in the middle of the trail after a blind corner.

and make sure u clear the way when u fall.. this dude almost ran me over last year.. I slipped on one of the berms down a line.. wet trails.. muddy. Indeed. just remember there are other people ..

HT is fine...like everyone else said, don't worry if people complain. Just have fun!

If you are in love with your HT and you dont mind sore hands, just GIVER.
If you got some extra cash and and you really want to enjoy yourself, get a Kona Rental bike.
Someone will think your slow and its their problem.
