Whistler Blackcomb Housing are making rooms available for nightly rentals.

The rate is $10.00 per night for shared accomodation and a credit card is required for the damage deposit.

Call 604-938-7500 for details and availability.

That's pretty sweet. I'm glad they're doing that.

I guess everyone is trying to fill rooms this season eh?

10 dollars a night though! That's awesome.

Nice, everyone should come up to the ghetto and see how the foriegners live in the winter, 4 to a room its awesome, and that is almost what I pay per night...

hold on a sec...so you share a room with someone and it only costs $10, are they doing this all season long?

They usually do it every year, just a cheaper way to get through the slower summer if your hard up, sometimes you get your own room...

I posted it on the Brit's thread as well.

I'm hoping to spread the word and maybe others can post some more inexpensive accomodation in Whistler or the Shore, too many people think that Whistler is too expensive and it's not worth coming up for one day. With cheaper transport now available, hopefully more people can afford to come up to the Bike Park.

The shoestring lodge has an ad in the current Pique with a big "BRING YOUR BIKE".

The guy who bought my primo frame from Oz stayed there - he had no complaints about it.

what do you meen by "shared" accomaodation?

'Shared" as in with someone else, depends on how busy it gets but usually you have your own bedroom, there is only 3 rooms to a place, 2 Bdrms, 1 common room, a tub and toilet and small kitchen, been in and out of housing for 6 years, so it ain't too bad. Sweet deal for the summer...

sounds like a hostel to me, haha. "shared accomodation" sounds so complicated

how is that too complicated? you pay basically nothing for a dry/warm/secure places to crash with your stuff...

figure its 10$/night. For a full month you are paying MAX 310 dollars for lodging...find a place to rent anywhere near whistler for that price for month to month...

you stay at whistler for 2 solid months and you are paying significantly less for those 2 months lodging than I pay for one month's rent here in seattle :)

toss a season's pass ontop of that, and you are freakin' set...a part time job at night someplace and ride all day...i could EASILY do that for a full summer and never regret it...

really not complicated at all...quite possibly the largest no-brainer in the history of accomodations.

That is a screaming deal... $10 a night just cant be beat... if it wasnt for the fact, i already have a place up there to use, i would be all over that....

Try searching HOUSE, that's what their big sign says up here, I am in the same property that gets rented the most, I just get mine through work, not the mountain mind you. The number for the office is a couple posts back I believe....

I live in a similar unit in housing, but i only have one roomie how also works at the Chateau , see the hotel has 2 of the 7 buildings up here for its employees, the other ones are the WB's, who rent them out to whomever they please and load them up come winter with the usual mix of Aussies, Brits, Kiwi's, Quebecois, Scots, Irish (did I miss any of the Commonwealth), I however pay 12 bucks a night, but with better funiture and a few less roommates its an affordable alternative to the Valley, plus its ski-in ski-out, and now with Magic Chair rocking its ride-in ride-out, there ya go, here's your sign....

Thanx for the info I might have to try it some time because $10 a night is just to good to pass on.
