Hey all,
Myself and another person are working on the design of a stunt to be placed immediately after a turn on a trail that we are building. The stunt is a drop that is divided into a high and low side. the quesiton that I have is whether or not the incline of the on ramp looks too steep considering that you won't have any speed when you begin to climb due to the corner. Here are the drawings.

that looks kkind of steep but it all depends on the location. words arnt really gonna help something like this. maybe an actual photograph of the location. otherwise when you start putting it up just use your own judgement. i wouldnt put it too steep but if it is then its just more of a challenge!

Well here is what we have so far. course it looked good on paper then I started thinking hey that might be a bit too hard too climb, with that slope.

I'd say that if the turn is not flowy than you definatley a more gradual ladder up, otherwise it's lookin' good.:thepimp:

going up 5 feet with a 10 foot ladder will be steeeep.. best to use about a 15 foot ladder :)

thats a 45 degree angle, not nececarrily too steep
some steep ramps make for more technical riding
people are forgetting technical riding, its just seen as non-flowy nowadays
but stunts after corners is a little pet-peeve of mine:(
ps nice plans, good to see the top ladder is flat

Thanks Guys/Gals,
We moved the ramp entry back about another 10 feet so the ramp won't be too steep. It is placed after a corner, but this stunt is on it's own line you kind of make a loop off the main trail to hit it. There will be signage to warn people but it is fairly obvious what is coming up. It isn't hidden around the corner, just technical. we had to burm the ramp and corner somewhat to be able to move the ramp back but it will work. I will post a pic soon as I can get back to it. Thanks again for the input.
