I have the 3 piece Profile DH cranks with 48 splined spindle. My questions is how tight do you have the cups in between the spacer insert. Sometimes if I put it too tight and then when I put the cranks arms on and tighten it, the cranks don't spin freely. I am using the BB for the FSA x-drive.
My impression is I tighten the drive side down then put the insert in the BB shell on the bike then put the non-drive cup in, lineing up the insert hand tight. Then with the lock-ring on the non-drive side , crank that down. Then install the cranks arms. Is that correct
THANKS

I had a problem with mine as well .... It turned out to be, my spacers, edges were not "true" ie: not cut straight. Resulting in tightness when being rotated. I got mine, "trued", using a lathe. Have you trimed ( cut )yours to size. Or did it come with the right sized spacer.

The cups don't need to be too tight. Just enough, but not to tight. yeah get me! hahaha
If it doesn't spin freely it's to tight. The lock ring on the other hand, needs to be tight. Make sure not to let the cups spin when tightening up the lock ring. :fix: :S

use the non-drive cup to adjust the tension, then crank down the lockring, make sure that the cup does tighten as you're doing this. Think of it like adjusting the cones on your hubs.
A little mild threadlock on the lockring probably isn't a bad idea either.
Ross, he's got a euro BB (as opposed to the american BB on your Le Toy) so there's no reason he can't fine tune it.

tight enough so theres no play, loose enough that they spin freely. So hand tight might be good, but trial and error will tell you best, if there to tight then loosen it a little bit and so on.
