Trail Signs

I have recently introduced another Brit to the wonders of mountain biking on the shore and he's hooked line and sinker. He can't believe how much the mountain biking community puts into building and maintaining trails etc.

As a result, he is keen to come out and do work on trail days, but he was also wondering if he could help out by producing trail signs.

He is a professional sign designer and has just set up a business on the north shore making all sorts of signs for himself. He's willing to make some small signs (say in the sub 12" x 6" region) for the trails, for free, if anyone can think of a good application/use for them?

Any suggestions on type, sizes, colour schemes, uses, etc. Cam et. al.? If there is any serious and organized interest, I'll get him signed up on the board so that you can discus further.

Lester and I were talking about making CBC signs out of the 2 small slabs of granite that he found on the new berm on CBC. Can he make a sign out of granite? I was picturing engraving CBC into the granite and somehow hanging them. I can provide the stone (3"x10"x 1" thick) if he can engrave it.

Sorry heckler, he's not an engraver, sounds like a nice idea though. Unfortunately he makes all kinds of signs for buildings, and the signs are typically fabricated out of vinyl, glass, steel etc.

He's in Vegas at the moment, at a sign convention of all things, and will get in touch with everyone when he returns...honest!
